Miami Nights

The first time I heard a track by Gravy Train I was staying with a friend in the Bastille area of Paris in 2006. We were chilling sparking up some hash when his iPod shuffled to the track Burger Baby. My ears immediately perked up. Gravy Train is by no means the type of mainstream or even indie music I expect many people to like but damn I just had to have more! Funny thing is my friend couldn't believe I had never heard of Gravy Train, as if in Paris they were the hottest shit on the scene and I was outta touch in Miami.

Anyway, their music is the very definition of electropop with obscenely sexually explicit lyrics which we here at Miami Nights appreciate very much. Their concerts are also known to turn into wild shows of sex and gay propaganda. You can compare their style to Le Tigre and Avenue D but I have to say these people are on a whole other level. For example here is a snippet off one of their tracks 'Double Decker Supreme':

I had a fantasy since I was nine
'Bout blowin' loads in a butt while loads are blown in mine
Don't blame me for bein' sick for dick
Sometimes it's titties that I wanna lick
I'm such a slut I've tried everything

I think you get the idea. Needless to say I'm pretty excited about the show and whatever those crazy kids have in store for the denizens of White Room.
