Wednesday Auditory Orgasm
I was talking to a certain DJ/promoter last night about new music and Modeselektor came up in the conversation. I told him how unhappy I was about the fact the Berlin duo just finished a U.S. tour and no one booked them for WMC. I mean, what the fuck? Is everyone in the city retarded? That shit would have been amazing. My friend went up to New York two weeks ago to see them live at Studio B, and of course he raved about it.
If you haven't checked them out, their latest release Happy Birthday! features guest appearances by the French rap group TTC, Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Miami's very own Otto Von Schirach (he is big in Europe if you didn't know). So I leave you with two choices, the tracks "2000007" featuring TTC and "The White Flash" featuring Thom Yorke. But if you have time, do a little Googling, these guys have been around since the '90s.
