I once went on a date with this Brazilian chick and she made me try açaí icecream. I wanted to die. It was disgusting, simultaneously earthy-tasting and acridly fruity. It was our last date, or at least I think it was our last date: this was during the Dark Days of Robitussin so it's hard to say for sure.
For that reason I was reasonably skeptical when the good people at VeeV mailed us a free bottle of their new liquor for our review. My first taste - at 3am, while the confused security guard at the front desk of my building looked on - changed my mind. It's subtly fruity and goes down easily, but it also strong has a strong aftertaste, with a nice warmth filling your chest after a strong pull from the bottle. After all, it is 60 proof.
Another bonus is that the company strikes to be ecologically sound and indeed, the production of VeeV is carbon neutral. That will help you with your conscience after a drunken night of sea clubbing, hair spray emancipation and rain forest arson.
The bottle was gone in three days, mostly consumed straight. I recommend it fully and have ordered Biscayne Liquors to stock it. Anyone know what nightclubs might have it available?
