    Supposedly Cut Copy and Bloc Party have been confirmed (according to festivaloutlook.com) - even if I doubt that Day 2 Ultra will feature Cut Copy.

    If they have to pick a dinosaur to headline, I hope they go Chemical Brothers or Basement Jaxx.

    My personal hopes are pinned on a Booka Shade live set, a Vitalic set, The Juan MacLean and Hot Chip if Langerado doesn't already have them.

    And in the"you guys are so predictable" section: Count on Deadmau5, Pendulum, Carl Cox, Above and Beyond, Armin Van my music sucks.

    It's not the D.D. that's toxic - it's the shitty food at DJ. Did you ever try their black edamame? Shit was gross. I hope the location gets something worthy of that prime spot.

    I would literally cry diamonds if that were the lineup.

    But let's be honest, scratch out people who've already been here recently: Rodrigo & G and Spoon will probably not play. Vampire Weekend is more likely, as they'll have a new album at the time and they were received really well. I guess DMB played here pretty recently too. I'm pretty sure Beirut is on hiatus since he cancelled his European tour, too.

    But yeah, if we even get half of that I'll jump for joy.

    Joe, I can imagine that you think it's very intelligent of you to say that the word "hippy" is no longer valid because it's not the 60s. I can also imagine that you don't have a word to describe jam-band listening, dread-lock wearing, hackeysack players who make their own organic trail mix and sell it at the show and somehow never have the time to bathe (or at least smell like they don't.)

    They are a kind of people, they exist, they might not be hippies in your eyes but they're hippies to me. I can can just call them dirty kids if you want, but I think that's worse.

    Saying that Langerado was voted "best music festival" by several media outlets (local newspaper outlets and not national media outlets) is like saying a small town Walmart was voted best boutique (in that town.)

    And lastly, as for why Miami couldn't create its own festival, ask yourself why this hasn't happened yet. Making a festival successful and profitable is a lot more difficult than just procuring the right bands and the right environment. Langerado has figured out how to make money and they just want create a bigger market for their festival.

    If you're ultimately correct, the festival will suck and I'm sure that the festival organizers have enough clout to make it what it was that you miss so dearly. So for now, give it a shot and complain later.

    Wikipedia says literally "Most reviewers comment on the album's musical style as an homage to or re-imagining of disco and classic house music." so I guess we're both right.

    I still think the disco-y aspect of it is the more recognizable feature of the music. I guess we'll see tonight.

    It's DISCO. Straight up, genuine disco. Show it to your parents, they'll agree.

    When I lived across the street at Cite, this place was a lifesaver. Their 4 course specials are amazing and the wines they're paired with are great. The cheeses are probably the best thing they have and the most satisfying plate on the menu is definitely the Tabla Espanola.

    Cost cutting tip: You can pretty much always ask for the lunch menu and they'll serve you something off it. The Cobb salad is the best in the biz and their Roast Beef Au Jus sandwich makes anything from The Daily cry in a pool of its own mediocrity.

    This kind of music has to evolve somewhere. Not a bad example - I hope it doesn't all sound like this but it's still an interesting place to take French electro. Reminds me a bit of that new Justice track from that album.

    I suspect this song could provide some pretty interesting crossover success.

    I think Domo deserves praise for actually making some pretty different tasting sushi rolls (pesto, sundried tomatoes AND prosciutto?) and keeping prices nice and cheap. That being said - the quality of the actual fish isn't anything to write a love letter about, either.

    I still find myself crossing the causeway and eating Shoji Sushi pretty much every goddamn time.

    Yeah really - screw the Sushi Samba enterprise. Overpriced, overcrowded sad excuse for a creative Sushi restaurant. I'll keep going to Domo Japones or across the causeway for something decent.

    Although I may make the trip for the 15 dollar brunch if they bring it over.

    The goddamn Midtown Mall needs to get its shit together and throw down a movie theater. Fuck going to Lincoln Road every time I want to watch a movie.
