There is just waaaay to many Super Bowl events to cover in one post, or even several posts. It seems every single venue and promoter in South Beach and Downtown Miami has something going on this weekend to capitalize on the cash cow that is the Super Bowl but I got a day job and covering it all is just not humanly possible. I don’t care what kind of party animal you all think I am but I got limits and this Super Bowl weekend stretches beyond those. Granted, I sold my soul to Miami Nights when I signed up but as evil a taskmaster she is my liver can only take so much (please save me!!). Ocean Drive - Thursday - Sunday
Motorola Mile @ Ocean Drive - BEWARE Ocea Drive will be closed to vehicle traffic the days Thursday, Feb. 1 through Sunday, Feb. 4, all day. From Fifth to 15th streets. Motorola is opening up Ocean Drive on Miami Beach to pedestrian traffic only. Included is an interactive football field, fan activities, past and present NFL stars and a unique lighting show.
Thursday
Money Shot @ The Pawn Shop - Special Guest DJ A-Trak will be killing the one's & two's. A-Trak is Kanye West's touring DJ and a 5 time world DJ Champ. Roxy Cottontail is in town from NYC hosting the night which means it will be a promising evening. DJ's Contra and Tom Laroc will also be spinning the night away. Open bar from 10pm - 12pm while on the RSVP and $4 money shots all night long.
UPDATE: Jerome Bettis' Kickoff @ Prive - Jump on the Bus and join the future Hall of Famer tonight at Prive where Jerome Bettis himself will hosts tonights debauchery. Mr. Mauricio will be spinning everything 80's, hip hop and rock and roll. Dress to impress and bring some ladies along as Prive is notorious for it's selectivity.
UPDATE: Perez Hilton's PeriziBowl @ Mansion - You all know who Perez Hilton is, and if you don't then don't feel bad he's just a gossip whore anywayz. But if you love the shit-slinging blogger then join him tonight at Mansion. Like all Opium Group venues bring the chicas, buy a bottle, wait in line or move along.
Friday
Lingerie Bowl @ Bricks - The Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders will be hosting the event (they aint Dolphin cheerleaders, but they'll do). Mark Leventhal will be spinning top 40 open format in the main room, Joseph Anthony and Maximo will be bringing you House and Live percussion the the sky lounge (the best are in Bricks IMHO).
Forbidden Super Locals Party @ Tantra - Alex Alvarez and Miguel G will be bringing you hip hop and house all night with a complimentary bar for the ladies from 11pm - Midnight. The evening will be hosted by UM Alumni (whoop-de-do) and NFL Football Celebs (anyone remember Hunter Goodwin?? Ya I thought so...boring).
ESPN's BIG BLOCK PARTY @ Miami Design District - The Design District looooves block parties and to be honest, they are loads of fun! LL Cool J will perform live in concert, Benihana Grill Off with retired NFL players will compete in the cook off judged by three lucky fans selected from
the audience. It's based on a first come first serve basis, limit first 5,000 people enter free.
Prince @ Nocturnal - No he will not be performing but he will be hosting the evening. I didn't see this all week so it's pretty last minute. Live performance by Larry Graham with special guest Robin Thicke (excuse my ignorance but who the f_ck is he?). The promoters are saying Nocturnal will be jammed with Celebs (you know what promoters will promise though). If I'm not mistaken tix are $100 unless you know people. Drop some names you never know, right?
Saturday
Sexy Bowl @ The Forge - Celebrity models Brittany McGraw, Nicole Webb, Jessica Leigh and Tina Marie will be in attendance (OMG You will meet models! hahaha wishful thinking). UM standout Marcus Maxey will be celebrating his b-day. For this event you will have to be on the guestlist, you can register at www.onsevent.com.
Volleypalooza @ Ocean Drive - From 10 a.m.-6 p.m., on the beach at Eighth Street
and Ocean Drive you can catch 350 top fashion models from around the world getting sweaty, covered in sand, jumping up and down, getting smaked in the face with volleyballs and dousing themselves with cold cold water. Who cares if they suck at volleyball, they're hot and they're sweaty. Don't go for the competition, go for the eyecandy, women and men alike! The event is free; open to public.
Super Saturday Blast @ Bicentennial Park - A FREE festival with food, concert and fan pep rallies culminating with NFL fireworks. The food aint free but hell, everyone loves a festival right? Event is open to public.
Superbowl Party @ Space This Saturday W/ Oscar G - Apparently Space is strictly enforcing the dress code which means: NO Hoop earings bigger than your fist, jerseys (hey Space, in case you don't know the Super Bowl is a sporting event....Idiots), grills (hahahaha sorry gangsta's), chonga's...oh wait never mind Chonga's encouraged, short skirts on girls with cottage cheese and many more but who cares.

Kinky is performing there tonight. It says 9, but you know how that goes... The place is randomly being closed through the weekend to the public since the Bud Bowl is happening there. There a huge stage set up on a floating barge on the river and the pool has been covered with a translucent dance floor.
