Good ol' Rokbar. Probably one of my favorite venues on the beach, seeing how it and probably Buck 15 are the only things comparable to a good Downtown club. Yes, I'm biased when it comes to the Beach versus Downtown, so sue me. But I'll still go over the causeway for a good Rokbar party.
This Thursday I just might make the trek as Rokbar turns 4 years old. The Rokbar family is celebrating with free Belvedere and Moet-Chandon from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. SWEET! DJs Tommy Ryk and Gunars, who are staples at the place, will be on hand to make sure the celebration has a soundtrack.
Word to the wise, if you attend, Rokbar's door policy can be a bit of a pain. It's not even about the way you dress -- I've seen everything under the sun walk through its doors -- but guys, make sure you bring enough ladies to just to guarantee you aren't waiting for hours to cross the ropes.
