Spiderpussy is back -- like for real this time!

I've only been writing for Miami Nights for less than a year and I've have seen Spiderpussy blow through four venues already. Yep, when I started it was still at the crackden we like to refer to as SoHo Lounge. Then it moved for a short time to the District -- until it was sold a few weeks later. So it set up shop at the Mark, which proved quite difficult seeing how many saw the trek to South Beach exhausting and needless since most frequented the place on Wednesday for Damaged. Luckily it moved after that to the best venue over the causeway, Circa28. Why they left that place beats me. But the weekly has found a new home at PS14.

But slow your roll! If you show up on a Thursday, you won't find Spiderpussy there -- that's because its not only moving to a new venue, it's moving to a new night as well. Spiderpussy is returning to its Tuesday night roots, which I think is the smartest move Andrews Lorenzana has done yet. Unfortunately for the weekly, Thursday night was beginning to get oversaturated with new nights like Black Lipstick, Money Shot and Rotten Apple, that were proving to be the night's new powerhouses all vying for the same crowd even though all are noticeably distinct from one another. But with Tuesday night staples Rokbar closed for remodeling and Cafeteria done for good, nothing is in the way of Spiderpussy attracting the scencesters and hipsters by the droves. Of course, booking good acts and some sweet marketing can assure the night becomes a success once again.

So let's all celebrate the return of one of Miami's longest lasting indie nights, Tuesday, June 5, along with the Deuce Crew and DJs Capitan Awesome and Obi. Hell ya Miami Nights will be taking pictures, so ladies put on some panties for the night because Lackner isn't deleting shit from now on.
