First of all Its an ARTFAIR. Not a Gallery. I don't know why this got to me so much, but DAMN, a lot of people are walking around confused. If you find yourself confused, please remember to ask yourself:
- Are You are in a TENT?
- Did You Paid to get in (unless your down with the badgeness)
- is there a unusually high number of EUROPEANS?
- Are there hundreds of rooms each housing at least 2 of said europeans
- Are 12oz coke cans upwards of 3 dollars?
- Does the floor sink when you walk on it?
- Do the sculptures wobble when you get near?
- Is there an ARTSTER (hipster+art school) rate of 3 to 1?
- Does someone bump into you every 10 minutes?
- Are there more than 3 Warhol prints scattered about?
- Was the cute girl you were flirting with ACTUALLY just trying to sell you a magazine?
- Are they kicking you out at 8pm?
If you answered yes to any 4 of the 12 above, chances are you are at an artfair.
Scope is excellent this year, Not as much breathing room as Art miami, yet surprisingly less cluttered. I took pictures there. I also have photos for artmiami and the neighboring activity adjacent to the fair fromThursday night, those will be up later. Enjoy.
