Pop the Glock! Revolver moving out of Studio A!

Revolver is leaving Studio A, which I'm sad to say may mean Studio A's days are numbered. Numerous sources have told me that the venue has been struggling just to break even since it open last year. And with the Thursday night that never was Plastik Fantastik gone, the quick death of SceneWolf and now Revolver leaving its Friday night slot, this means Studio A is left with an empty arsenal.

The final Revolver at Studio A will be this Friday, featuring DJs Steve Aoki (that man ain't gone yet?) and Mr. White. Then Joshua Menendez is taking the infamous party on a roadtrip to New York and Los Angeles, taking along with him the lovely Lauren A. That means the party will be on hiatus until Joshua's return. The party will re-open at the undisclosed venue April 20. While I'm sad to see the party leave Studio A, especially since it's becoming a sort of security blanket for me club-wise, I love when parties get rejuvenated because of a move.

With the venue yet to be revealed, let the speculation begin! Here are my thoughts: I doubt it will be on the Beach. It would be HILARIOUS if it returned to SoHo, but that's doubtful. PS14? Too small. Post? Too small and far. Back to Pawn Shop? Well, Black Lipstick has been doing well, so maybe. Or is there a brand new venue in the works? Tick tock, I guess we'll have to wait.

WTF?! that makes me a little sad..i grew to love to studio after a while. =(

i can only hope this is for the better....
That is a shame. Studio A has become an important place for me, full of great memories. On the bright side, at least Josh is trying to innovate.

Duran and I had an outstanding bet about a new venue so this may mean we can finally settle it.

And I really felt Studio A really flexed its muscles during WMC. It arguably had some of the best lineups night after night.

Perhaps X, O, J and them can move Moneyshot to Studio A to make up for the loss. *nudge nudge* :-D :-D

And fairly few logistical problems too; the door waits were reasonable, drinks kept flowing, music kept pumping, no fire marshall or plumbing incidents..

The venue uses six+ year old sound reinforcement. The parties may or may not have been good, but sonic fatigue ensued every night I paid a visit. I'm not a die-hard for Revolver, but for their sake, they should have their next party in a properly outfitted venue.
its so circa its not even funny.

I dont think Circa is large enough

I'm actually sad 'Volver is leaving Studio A. That venue has a special place in my heart and I am pulling for them in their future endeavors. One things for sure I will continue supporting their events and live shows because we need a place like that in Miami to counter the monotony that is Miami top 40. And besides, working with Studio A during our anniversary event was always professional and cordial. You can't ask for much more than that in this industry. Cheers!
I am the eggman
I hope they find another party to fill in their balance books, perhaps Moneyshot or Poplife could take their respective evenings to A.

Im going to miss Revolver at Studio A as well, we had some really good times there. I think Circa would be great, but it is too small. Maybe they could open up that back parking lot like Pawn (used to) do?
They need to move revolver closer to the heart of downtown, but some place totally random, my vote is for the roof of the four seasons, that that would be a fun place to get trashed lol, look out below...
Sad but true, if studio a can't get something up and running on a continual basis their days are..*sniffle sniffle whimper* numbered

Opening a club should not be entered into lightly. They should teach a course at MDC that people should take before being granted a liquor license.
