The Herald vs. El Nuevo Herald
I am still in shock. It all came down to this. El Nuevo Herald cartoonist (well, I’m guessing former now) Jose Varela snapped and basically caused a bunch of choas down at the Herald building. Why? Because I suppose he intended to kill those who have gotten in El Nuevo Herald’s way of pushing the Cuban plight. Not to be mean to the Cuban population of Miami, but El Nuevo Herald has and will always be a propaganda publication for Cuban exiles, while technically it should be a publication that serves South Florida’s entire Hispanic community. It is pretty clear that the staff at El Nuevo Herald is losing its marbles, so maybe once and for all McClatchy will close it down. And in the end, that is who I feel the worse for, McClatchy. Who knew they were buying the most clinically insane news reporting staff in America?
Also, the Herald should look into getting metal detectors since it seems their building is the new it place to bring guns (Teele anyone?).
