New video for Justice - Stress

New Video directed by Romain Gavras, for  Justice. Just goes to show, if you listen to French house, you will become a ravenous vandal, with a merciless taste for violence and matching gang hoodies. What irked me throughout the vid is the ubiquitous Cross, and all the associations of religion and morality one would normally make with the biggest Christian icon (goodness and non-sinning) totally being thrown on its ass. I've wondered the true reasoning behind Justice's glorious use of the cross. Is it an ironic twist on all the (bad) music associated directly with Christianity? Or a clever marketing ploy to attract an instant, already brainwashed religious demographic ready to jump on anything ever so godly? Both? Maybe more? Any thoughts?

I didn't believe your description until I heard it:

pop lock and drop it
the other weird level to the cross thing in the video is that the banlieux/'suburbs' right around paris (one of the few cities where the poorest actually live OUTSIDE the urban core) are overwhelmingly muslim. of course i highly doubt the video is meant to be any kind of religious message, but that juxtaposition is something of which anybody with any familiarity of paris would be conscious. i'd love to pick those guys' brains.
i'd have to concur. what drew me to the banger sound was the all genres and decades tossed into a blender sorta thing. D.A.N.C.E., pop the glock, etc, had a tongue in cheek-self effacing quality that kinda took the piss out of itself before the critics could.music could use a bit more downright silliness. speaking of which, i've been getting alot of pleasure lately from "hercules and love affair" (dfa u.s.). alot more minimal but similarly refreshing. kinda like banger without the "more cowbell".

hello I live in the suburbs of Paris and I wanted to ask you whether it reflects the image france suburban image and what she has at home ?
