This is old news but someone posted an image on SoTP the Hurled ran regarding Parcel B behind the American Airlines Arena. What we were promised 10 years ago and the broken promise that was overwhelmingly supported by the pandering Miami Dade County Commision. There's nothing wrong with building a memorial for the people who lost their lives during the Bay of Pigs fiasco, it's just that the location stinks to high hell. Who wants a giant parking garage on pristine bay front property? A soccer field with palm trees and a bay walk sounds far more appealing and serves a better purpose than a concrete museum with a monolith parking structure. Only a a fraction of the population can enjoy this museum. Obviously the council believes the means of the few outweigh that of the many. Heres a choice quote from one of our commissioners as to why building a Museum and eye sore parking garage on bay front property makes sense:
''It's going to be very close to the water and the history of Cuba is so close to the water,'' said Commissioner Rebeca Sosa.
That my friend cannot be made up. I swear!
