All week long I’ve been having the best conversations about music & art. A lot of interesting concepts keep poppin' up too, for example some one asked me, "What's the difference between a re-mix, a mix, a mash up, an edit and a cover in contemporary electronic music?" This made me think of artists like Girl Talk and Jason Forrest. A deejay friend of mine once said to me in a drunken Jack Daniels tone of voice, "DUUUDEE electronic music is ssooooo the new punk rock. It's all the same!" I politely asked him if he wanted to get another round.
