I know, you are going to hate me by the end of the week. Alas, but I'll be gone back into blogosphere oblivion by Sunday so bear with me.
The Miami Herald did a small profile on my favorite local artists FriendsWithYou, art duo Sam Borkson and Arturo Sandoval Jr. Their work easily brings out your inner child and reminds you to just have fun, something we all seem to forget. It's easy to dismiss their work as commercial design, and it is, but its warm and inviting and that's why I feel its so easy to connect with their pieces. Their Skywalkers event last year during Basel was easily one of the biggest highlights of the week. The Herald has choosen the duo, Rainbow Bright (pictured left) as today's Art in Newsprint feature.
