Langerado '08 information (UPDATE)

Well god damn Langerado, this is one hell of a line up. Last year our old music writer Brendan had good things to say but comparing last years line up to this years is like comparing apples to oranges. The festival will be moving from Markham Park to the Big Cypress Indian Reservation in the Everglades. Where BANG Music Festival failed to live up to expectations and eventually "re-scheduled", Langerado did a damn fine job. Here's a taste of the line up:

  • Beastie Boys
  • R.E.M.
  • 311
  • Matisyahu
  • The Roots

And the list goes on. Click here for the full lineup. Tickets go on sale November 16th. Langerado 2008 takes place March 6-9. Ticket pricing as follows:

  • A limited number of tickets will be priced at $169.50
  • When these sell out a limited amount will be priced at $184.50
  • When this allotment sells out, tickets will be priced at $199.50

Ticket includes access to all four days of the Langerado Music Festival and on-site camping for the duration of the event.

Hippie-Fests and Coachella are two entirely different animals.

Almost nobody smells at Coachella and it's like a goddamn fashion show inside.
Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?

It's funny but all these people whining about BO and fashion shows and what not are on another post whining about how there is no music scene in Miami. Beside you probably still sweat more in Circa on Saturdays.

There actually are showers at Coachella. They aren't gross and you don't have to get naked in front of a bunch of strangers either.

I promise, Coachella doesn't usually smell, general hygiene is about as good as you could hope for. Mostly because if people didn't shower they'd die of heat stroke.

Bonaroo however, is an odiferous animal to no end.

You guys are a riot. This WILL be an awesome smelly hippie BO-fest-and it will be awesome. Not saying that I love dirtiness-but I'm not scared of it either. This is the same spot where Phish played for over 8 hours from midnight to 8AM on New Years 2000. And the Beastie Boys are playing!? This will be an awesome gathering of good vibes...may be short on the metrosexuality, so ya'll may be dissapointed-but believe me-it'll be a helluva party.
