Hang the DJ
Time to weigh in: Do you know what's great about Conference: Choices. With all the hundreds of DJs/performers to choose from and the limited amount of time available we all must narrow down our options. Sometimes you need to trust those "in the know" when faced with such a nightlife conundrum. That's why you can count on a DJ's opinion. I mean, who knows a DJ's merit more than another disc jockey, right? I know what you're thinking, what makes a DJ's opinion more valid than mine? It's simple, we know more than the average club-crawler about music and the craft of playing records. We know who's "keeping it real" and who's "faking the funk." It's what we do. Well kids, I am here to help you out. Yes MSTRKRP is playing everywhere, and you know it. I am here to give you a better suggestion for the one DJ who you need to see this conference: Tiesto.
Yes, there is none better than DJ Tiesto. If it was not for him we would have to forgo spending our money at the door instead of spilling it onto the bar. Why would I give my money to a possible money laundering front when I could give $60 to the inscrutable master of Trance so to further his global dancefloor dominance and to assist in the advancement of all that is Eurotrash?
Hey people, just kidding. That wasn't even funny.
For serious though, I am writing to offer you a firm suggestion for the Thursday night edition of WMC. Like I said since everyone's mother is DJing during this week we have to be careful in making our decisions. Tonight one of America's best DJs is going to play Suite, DJ Z-TRIP. Have you ever heard that phrase, "That DJ can rock a party!", we'll he embodies that. Dude can blend any genre of record together and is considered the modern inventor of the "mash-up" before it was hi-jacked and turned into an ironic past-time . He's opened for The Rolling Stones, James Brown, and has jamed-out with Beck on occasions. I swear, turntables are instruments.
A philosopher once wrote that art should be what man strives to become in the future. This auteur of records has and continues to blaze trails for DJ culture and he's in town to show you the way. Don't sleep on DJ-TRIP @ Suite Lounge tonight.
