Gen Art is at it again with its 5th Annual Fresh Faces in Fashion event, and if you are a budding fashion designer, listen up! Gen Art is looking for talented fashion, swimwear and accessory designer based in Florida or Georgia to participate in the event. This could easily be your big break since the event is attended by press, buyers, celebrities and fashion industry professionals. Miami Nights attend last year documenting the event. While I didn't go, Lackner, B.A.C. and Lady Wrangler all attended and were really impressed at the high production values and large turnout. So yes, this is a pretty big deal if you get selected. This isn't some lame club fashion show -- trust me, it's legit.
The event is the largest showcase for emerging designers in the United States. Designers who have gained exposure from the event include Zac Posen, Rebecca Taylor, Uli Herzner, Chaiken, Keenan Duffy, Louis Verdad, Shoshanna, Vena Cava and more.

In order to be eligible to participate in the event, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Designer currently has a full collection to show (at least 10 looks)
- Designer's label is less than 7 years old
- Designer is currently selling garments/accessories in at least one store
If you meet the above requirements, please send an e-mail with the following items to miami@genart.org:
- Professional bio and/or press kit (include your e-mail, phone number and address)
- Low resolution JPEG images showing at least six different looks (must be actual clothes or accessories, no sketches accepted)
- Completed application form

The submission deadline is Monday, January 28. Incomplete submissions or submissions received after this date will not be considered. Up to six designers will be chosen by a Selection Committee made up of distinguished industry professionals.
