Being single and out Wednesday night wasn’t bad at all. It was fun! Of course alcohol makes the heart grow fonder – of anyone. I wasn’t thinking much about men anyway. I had a fashion show to worry about. I was helping my friend, Natalie Thomas, cut fabric and accessorize jewelry for the Sweet Pea/Pink Panty Party at Mansion V-Day night. It was a great show. The models, who were mostly from Next, were a patient, sweet and non-diva bunch. Luckily, I didn’t have cut any faces or ruin any modeling careers.

After that I headed to the Mark where I basically forgot about Valentine’s Day completely. Again, more drinks, please. I used to get all wrapped up in the fact I was single on V-day. Not any more. It’s the tropical weather. Up North, they’re buried under 10 feet of snow! Being single in that situation on Valentine’s Day sucks. All you want to do is snuggle up next to the man of your dreams. Cold weather, in my opinion makes you buy into Valentine’s Day and all it’s retail opportunistic glory. You want the card from Hallmark with the kissing bears, the chocolate, the roses. Miami is the place to celebrate V-day if you’re single - thank god for palm trees!
