County OKs $400M for Port of Miami tunnel; everyone cracks up

The stupidest idea ever, the $1 billion traffic-abatement Port of Miami tunnel project, appears to be finally getting underway after years and years of intelligent people saying "neh!" Around 2012 (or 2037 knowing how these things usually meet up with schedule) and after spending only $1 billion dollars we will be able to take a tunnel from I95 directly to the Port of Miami, where no one wants to go anyway. Perhaps we should spend that $1 billion to build a train that will take container trucks directly to Port Everglades.

I love it. You do not know the amount of times I've wanted to get to the Port of Miami through a tunnel. I had visions once as a kid of traveling underground and arriving at the Port, i just can't believe it's finally going to happen. I think the next project will obviously be a magical carousel that will take people from Dade to Broward to Monroe while playing all of our favorite Mother Goose nursery rhymes to music. Thank you Miami for another greeat idea.
My name is odnarb backwards
You inbreds, are you not sick of traffic in the Miami area like I am, this tunnel will solve some of that congestion.
A study showed 1 out of every 5 vehicles going thru the city is a truck or commercial vehicle going to the island.
Think people, think.
The state of florida DOT is kicking in 600 million, the city is only being asked for 50 mill. The state has said they will puill thier 6000 mill and use it somewhere else, probably in Mickey mouse land.

they can lead us to water but they cant make us drink
Yeah, I hate all those trucks I run in to heading toward the port.
