When I heard that Circuit City was closing some stores, I suspected that their new Midtown Miami store would be the first to go. You see, me and God have this love/hate thing that motivates him to try to make my life as difficult as possible. One way of doing this is to close one of the few stores near my apartment that I actually like to do business with. You see, I have some residual and undeserved good feelings toward Circuit City because during 2000-2004 they had an overly lax return policy that allowed me to "try out" some laptops for a month each. Since then I still spend most of my electronics dollars at the Circuit, even though their return policy has since caught up with the industry and become very sadistic and draconian.
Wow, wasn't that the most interesting story in the world?
In any case, the Midtown store -- and all the others in Miami -- are staying home during this round of closings. Keep your fingers crossed! See full list here.
