Charlie Christ grows a pair, vetoes education bill

I was thoroughly convinced Christ would not veto this bill considering all the GOP brass support it and Miami's own free spending wild child Marco Rubio was behind the bill. Yet here I am reading the Herald headline that Christ grew a pair and went against his Republican task masters.

I'll admit I don't know the details as well as I should, but a very close friend of mine is a teacher and she explained to me the situation and decided this probably was not the best bill to address our shitty education system (thanks JEB!). While I definitely think tenure needs to be done away with some of the other aspects of the bill made me cringe. I'm of the camp that think this was a good veto. Charlie Christ the Independent candidate? Me thinks so after this Republican snub.
