Broward indie staple Roxanne's burns to the ground

I don't usually talk about things that are occurring in Broward for the same reason I don't report weekend yardsales in Hialeah, but this story is worth the slumming. It appears that the foundation of the Broward indie scene is no more. Roxanne's in Oakland Park has burned down. We had been meaning to go up there and take photos but I guess the insurance investigators will be the ones playing paparazzi now. 

Was it drunk scene kids throwing firecrackers? Overloaded Phazon amps blowing a cap? No, this is Broward. It was an opossum.

Sweetie---- you'd been meaning to come for over a month now... you had no intention of coming--- and it had become so pointless and boring that I would have detured you even if you had suddenly told me you were going too.
Last week, I went home and played Monopoly...
That's how exciting it had become ha.
I keep reading articles about how it was on the up & up and in reality it was dying, rather quickly...
It went from being a blast to me sitting in the back room, sipping a drink and wondering when the fuck I could come up with an excuse to leave in a matter of a month.

You'll have plenty of underage Ft.Lauderdale girls to play with starting next week I suppose.
You know the saying after all.

oh no the plot thickens!
no dead opossum body was found... only a bottle of lighter fluid behind the bar! oh how the rumors will fly... why? because theres nothing else to do in Ft. Lauderdale
