Are you there Miami Nights? It's me your faithful reader.

No need to break out the defibrillators folks.  We here at Miami Nights have not died.  No we did not get trapped inn the rubble of the Pawn Shop demolition.  No we did not get abducted by aliens, or move to New York.  We have merely been figuring out how to unearth Lackner from his hole.  You see with the end of days upon us (as evident by the water and ice bombs that almighty god has unleashed on us over the last month) Lackner has gone all retro Y2K and started preparing for the apocalypse hording canned food, saving anything flammable for potential kindling, and (don’t tell I told you) but his bathroom has been transformed into a dungeon of sorts where poor unsuspecting Davie girls are fed Quaaludes and taco bell while the Wizard of Oz plays on repeat.  Well fear not faithful readers, we have not forsaken you.  Equipped with my fan and fabulous secret powers I, like gay Moses, shall guide the flock through the desert of nightlife crap (does anyone even go to Set anymore?) and into Shangri La (the door is behind the stage at PS 14 in case you missed the memo).

As most of my locals know, the summers in Miami (aside from feeling like you’re walking in someone’s mouth) have some of the best parties of the year and this one promises to be no different.  Tonight at Vagabond is Lolo + Chipi’s Sugar High Gemini B-Day Celebration. Featuring the incomparable DJ Hottpants and cupcakes that, if you were at last years festivities you most probably ended up with pink frosting all over your… everywhere (oh wait… that was Duran).  Vagabond is located at 30 NE 14th Street

As for Saturday, weather permitting, I forsee a day of praising the Sun God Apollo followed by the Palace Bar & Grill’s tea dance for great drinks, cute boys, fierce drag queens and eargasms by DJ Fr8-0.  After I wash off all the sand and boy off, it’s off to Azucar.  Now I know some of you have never ventured south of 1st street, much less to the Shenandoah, Silver Bluff area, however if you find yourself on or near Coral Way and 32nd Avenue @ 11PM any give weekend, bank south on 32nd and pop into Azucar.  It’s an INS field day in there, but the drinks are strong (and cheap) the music is a potpourri of house, and Cuban wedding tunes.  The best part however is the drag show which is FULL DRAMA, picture a spanglish version of Designing Women but with sequins and duct tape.  Club Azucar is located at 2301 SW 32 Avenue

Sunday will certainly require two things: 1. sunglasses and 2. an extra spicy bloody mary, and both which I'll be rocking at Poplife's Just Add Water poolside at Blade at the Fontainbleu Miami Beach.  At this point in the weekend odds are I'll be reduced to random grunts and uh-huhs, but no worries.  Odds are I won't be the only one serving fierceness with a hangover at this party .  Faux Real and Mike Deuce will bring the beats, you bring the shade.  The Fontainebleu is loctaed at 4441 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach.

Cheers kiddies!

Was worried for a sec. Tom, pick up the damn phone once in awhile, otherwise I'll have to run around your hall gesturing wildly and going hrurururrururururrur and irritating the neighbors again.

I have an idea that doesn't involve girls pointing knives at me. True story, that.
This is a wonderful opinion. The things mentioned are unanimous and needs to be appreciated by everyone.

Just make an official Miami Nights Twitter account, and use the Twitter API to make it feed onto the homepage here. You can post from your phone and it's way easier. It's something to think about if you don't have the time to be making long posts, or if you're just a little burned out right now.

Check out my page for an example of how it can be done: http://www.ratradio.net
Seems like you guys aren't gonna keep this site going after all.... or what?
Seems like you guys died out when they exploded PawnShop... and well SoHo Lounge and Studio A...
