This is a bit awkward and Miami Nights is not usually a forum for serious discussion, but sometimes I gotta break the rules. I'm sure you've seen the signs: our impeccable taste, the excessive pink notes in the layout, BAC's taste for gin, our endless photography of cute boys. I'm just going to say it: BAC and I, mostly BAC, are gay.
We didn't want to tell anyone when we started the site because we felt like we'd be seen as yet another queer blog and Miami Nights is bigger than that. What does our sexual preference for hot hairy dudes have to do with Miami nightlife and art?
As time went on our secrets became a burden. There were so many times I wanted to post a White Party event or a snapshot of some ripped hairy guy on rollerblades but I felt it would be too obvious, tilt the site a bit too much and everyone would know. Then Ricky Martin happened and I realized: what the hell am I doing? I don't keep secrets. I am not that guy, living behind a facade. It's time to let it out!
So I'm fessing up about it -- all of it. Our secret get aways to our kitschy Key West bungalow where we work on our other site, our hobbies and sing cabaret. My extensive collection of topaz cock rings. We even have a Thai ladyboy concubine, Ding, who lives in my armoir, among my beige suits and scarves.
I even have a pet cat.
