Today in Miami..

Monday: Slutty Cinco de Mayo @ Pawn Shop

Gasp! I know, promoting something at Pawn Shop. Who would have thought? But the people behind the Slutty Cinco de Mayo party are good people who always guarantee you fun times. And with $5 tequila shots, $5 beers and $75 bottles, how can you go wrong? Plus DJ Obi T. and Mike Deuce will be there to get you sweatin'. This is of course is if you don't have Radiohead tickets, but even if you do, stop by afterward, you'll already be out.

Party options tonight for the Stereo-averse

Yes, everyone on earth is going to Stereo, including some people not on earth (I'm talking to you two concubines from Xylos-3 wearing very convincing South Beach MILF costumes). But there are two other parties as well:

  1. Richie Hawtin at Pawn Shop. I can't post the flyer because the party is sponsored by a company that completely lacks professional and Internet ethics (I'll give you a hint which one: the site looks like it just stepped out of a time machine from 1998). So, if you want to go, show up at Pawn and good luck to you.
  2. Orlando A. and Greg T., our friends at LiveLife, have moved their party from Vice on Fridays to Glass. Click here for flyer
  3. SMAC brings you Cameo, featuring the excellent DJ Irie. A reliable party in unpredictable times.

Music Loves Fashion @ Pawn Shop

Tonight The Pawn Shop Lounge plays host to Music Loves Fashion featuring Canadian Electro duo MSTRKRFT as headliners and up and comers LA Riots, who have made a splash on the west coast with some money remixes. Even infamous scenster Adam Frankel makes his return to Miami to host the event which should make for some interesting drama and not-so-welcome-back type celebration I'm sure (We love you here at MN Adam). You can be certain though this will be a hipsters haven come Friday night and the crowd huge considering the acts. Anyhow tickets are $20. See you there. Click here for full sized flyer. For some musical reference here is a remix by LA Riots.

Tara's birthday this Thursday @ Pawn Shop

It's Tara's XXth birthday this Thursday and she has decided to celebrate it at Pawn Shop. You may remember Tara for such classics as I'm Just A Squirrel and Stop Stalking Me. Well, she is back and better than ever (possibly, I haven't actually seen her) so you should definitely come out and get her a shot, unless you hate her. Here's the flyer:

Note to Pawn staff: please be extra selective at the door, as Tara does not want any gangstajuice getting on her Fendi butcher's apron.
